Join Our Editorial Board

The Practical Medicine is actively recruiting distinguished researchers and clinicians to serve on our founding Editorial Board. As a newly established journal, we are building a community of experts committed to advancing open-access biomedical and clinical science.

We warmly invite applications from qualified academics and clinical researchers worldwide. Founding board members play a formative role in shaping the journal's scientific direction, peer review standards, and long-term reputation. We particularly welcome applicants from diverse geographic regions, career stages, and subspecialty backgrounds.

Open Positions

Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief provides overall scientific and editorial leadership. Responsibilities include setting the strategic direction of the journal, making final publication decisions, overseeing the peer review process, and representing the journal to the academic community. This is a founding leadership role with significant influence over the journal's scientific identity.

Associate Editors

Associate Editors manage the peer review process for manuscripts within their area of expertise. They solicit and evaluate reviewer reports, make recommendations on acceptance or revision, and contribute to the journal's scientific development.

Editorial Board Members

Editorial Board Members serve as scientific advisors and ambassadors for the journal. They may handle manuscripts, suggest reviewers, contribute invited articles, and provide guidance on scope and editorial policy.

Statistical Editors

Statistical Editors review the methodological and statistical integrity of submitted manuscripts, ensuring that study designs, analyses, and reported outcomes meet the journal's standards.

Peer Reviewers

We maintain a growing database of peer reviewers and welcome applications from researchers at all career stages. Reviewers are contacted on an invitation basis when manuscripts matching their expertise are received.

Eligibility Criteria

We welcome applications from individuals who meet the following general criteria:

  • Hold a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) in a relevant biomedical or clinical discipline
  • Have a demonstrated record of peer-reviewed publication in their field
  • Are actively engaged in research or clinical practice
  • Are committed to upholding the principles of publication ethics as defined by COPE
  • Can dedicate reasonable time to manuscript handling and board activities

Early-career researchers with strong publication records are encouraged to apply.
